Lennard is a partner in De Brauw’s Corporate/M&amp;A practice, and head of the private equity practice. He acts for Dutch and international private equity firms on their acquisitions and exit transactions, as well for other matters throughout the investment period. In addition, Lennard regularly acts for founders and family-owned companies who wish to sell their company or to partner with private equity. He is often consulted for his expertise in governance arrangements between shareholders, private equity funds and co-investors, including minority investments by private equity and in warranty &amp; indemnity insurance and management participation plans.
Lennard is recognised as a leader in his field, as also confirmed by Legal 500 (‘Hall of Fame’ for Private Equity) and Chambers. Lennard was nominated as one of six lawyers for the Dutch Best M&amp;A Lawyer Award each year as from 2020 and won the award in 2021 and 2023.
Lennard played an important role in establishing De Brauw’s Singapore office.

As counsel in De Brauw’s regulatory group, Eva specialises in the regulation of Dutch and EU financial markets, advising large financial undertakings on a wide range of regulatory and pension matters. These include outsourcing, duty of care rules and governance, and funding requirements. Eva handles complex transition processes, such as where undertakings face financial distress or pension funds need advice in the ongoing consolidating trend. ING Group has secured important investments into NN Group totalling EUR 1.275 billion ahead of the intended Initial Public Offering (IPO) of NN Group, the Dutch life insurance company, which also has a presence in Central, Eastern and the rest of Europe, as well as operations in Japan. 
In this context, ING Group has agreed to sell NN Group shares at the IPO to three Asia-based investment firms, including Temasek, and also to issue to them subordinated notes that ING Group will over time exchange into NN Group shares.
