Colette Bouwes Bavinck

Bas specialises in general banking, finance and restructuring matters - his recent Executive Master in Finance demonstrates his deep knowledge of corporate finance that goes beyond the legal aspects of matters. Bas' practice covers the full spectrum of finance and capital markets transactions, and often involves highly complex and multi-faceted cross-border matters. He has taken leading roles in negotiating large (sustainability-linked) corporate credit facilities, implementing acquisition financing arrangements for transformative acquisitions and designing comprehensive capital restructurings both in- and outside of distressed situations. He also has substantial expertise in project financing and construction. Bas' client base runs the gamut from large listed and non-listed corporates, to financial institutions and private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies. As a result, he is very comfortable on all sides of the table.

Sifra specialises in general banking and corporate finance, including bilateral and syndicated loans, acquisition financing, debt capital markets transactions and debt restructuring. She has advised corporates, financial institutions and private equity investors, and has worked with leading independent law firms on cross-border transactions. Prior to joining the Finance &amp; Restructuring practice, Sifra was part of De Brauw’s Intellectual Property group. She assisted corporate clients in complex IP disputes, in particular regarding patent law, and she litigated before national courts at all levels, including the Dutch Supreme Court.

Ferdinand is a partner in our Corporate group and specialises in international debt restructuring, corporate recovery and special situations financing deals. His broad practice encompasses both tailor-made finance deals and insolvency-sensitive transactions or litigation, always in a cross-border context.
Ferdinand is trusted adviser to boards of directors on their corporate governance, fiduciary duties and liability considerations around funding and scenario planning in a more stressed environment.

Constantijn specializes in corporate advisory. His primary focus is corporate law, including governance, advisory and mergers and acquisitions.
Constantijn regularly advises founder-led businesses and family-owned corporations, both listed and privately held, on their corporate structure and founder / family corporate governance.
Constantijn has extensive experience across the field of corporate law. A substantial part of his practice is cross-border, reflecting his experience in international transactions involving IPOs, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and strategic deals.
Constantijn practised law at De Brauw London, where he advised large international companies and financial institutions on corporate and finance transactions involving multiple jurisdictions.

Wiebe specialises in international and Dutch tax law, focusing on corporate transactions, investment funds and tax controversy. Since joining De Brauw, Wiebe has advised numerous multinationals and funds on complex cross-border M&amp;A transactions, investment structures and tax disputes. Wiebe is actively involved in the tax expert group of the Dutch association of asset managers (DUFAS), the committee on legislative proposals of the Dutch association of tax advisors (NOB) and frequently lectures on international tax law, including at IBA conferences and at the universities of Amsterdam and Groningen. He is recognised by Chambers and Legal 500 with Chambers describing him as “very accessible, sharp, responsive and to the point” and Legal 500 referring to him as a “top-notch tax professional”.
