Diederik specialises in the development, financing, construction, and acquisition of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. He has broad domestic and international experience advising clients on all aspects of the value chain, including M&A, large-scale projects and corporate, finance, and commercial matters. Diederik has a particular focus on emerging technologies (such as CCUS and hydrogen), as well as renewable energy, oil & gas, LNG, ports & terminals, and nuclear sectors. He forms part of De Brauw's steering committee for energy and infrastructure matters. Diederik’s key clients include market-leading project sponsors and developers, infrastructure and energy funds, governments, and state-owned entities.
In 2016, Diederik was seconded to the global LNG team of Vopak. He has also practised law at Slaughter and May in London and Hong Kong, and at De Brauw in China.
