Emma plays a connecting role within our team, fostering collaboration and ensuring that diverse perspectives are seen and heard. Before joining De Brauw, Emma ran her own company for several years, advising SMEs on GDPR-related matters, among other things. This experience has given her invaluable insights into the operational and strategic challenges businesses face.

Emma is a visiting lecturer at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, where she focuses on the dynamic field of law and technology. She is also committed to giving back to the community through pro bono work, with involvement in organisations such as The Ocean Cleanup, Defense for Children, ASKV and UNICEF. As an ambassador for The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and De Balie, she actively promotes opportunities for children and strives to enhance societal connection and conversation, reflecting her enthusiasm for cultural enrichment and community engagement.
