Summary

Justyna is a senior associate in De Brauw's Data, Privacy & Platform Enforcement team, where she specialises in contentious matters concerning digital regulation and enforcement. Having played a leading role in most of the team's tech-related collective actions handled by the team, she brings both depth of experience and strategic insight to complex, high-stakes proceedings. She also advises clients on regulatory matters across a broad range of digital and data-related issues.

Recognised as a strategic litigator, Justyna is able to manage complex matters with vision, pragmatism and flexibility. Her experience managing a major follow-on class action across multiple European jurisdictions, coupled with her time spent in Dublin as a visiting lawyer at a local firm, has given her an in-depth understanding of collective litigation throughout Europe. This is complemented by her hands-on experience of civil and regulatory matters in the UK, Portugal and Belgium. This cross-border expertise is particularly valuable to clients navigating collective litigation under the Representative Actions Directive and the evolving regulatory landscape for platforms under the Digital Services Act, the Platform Work Directive and the AI Act.

In 2021, Justyna co-founded the Mass Claims Journal, a semi-annual academic publication focusing on collective redress. In her role as secretary to the editorial board, she has cultivated a broad network of contacts spanning both defence and claimant counsels.

Justyna was shortlisted as "Privacy Champion" for the Piccaso Awards in 2025, and regularly speaks at high-profile conferences, most recently at the International Bar Association Forum. She also regularly contributes to client events organised by our Data, Privacy & Platform Enforcement practice, where she keeps clients informed of key developments at the intersection of mass claims and digital regulation.
