Arne Grimme is head of De Brauw’s Corporate M&A practice and is one of the leading M&A lawyers in the Dutch market. He advises on public and private transactions, leveraged buy-outs, complex cross-border transactions and corporate restructurings.

Arne has repeatedly been recognised as a leader in his field. He has been nominated for the Best M&A Lawyer Award every year since 2007 and has won this award seven times. Arne is a trusted adviser to many of the firm’s most high-profile Dutch and international clients, including Philips, AkzoNobel, ABN AMRO, ING, NN, Aegon, Exor, NXP, Ahold Delhaize, Achmea, Rabobank, BAM, ASML, FrieslandCampina, Corbion, Arcadis, TKH and Schiphol Airport. Arne's recent work includes advising and representing:

  • Iveco Group N.V. on the envisaged recommended voluntary public offer by Tata Motors Limited for all issued common shares of Iveco, representing a total consideration of approximately EUR 3.8 billion
  • Akzo Nobel N.V. on its all-stock merger of equals with Axalta Coating Systems Ltd., creating a premier global coatings company with an enterprise value of approximately USD 25 billion and revenue of approximately USD 17 billion
  • as lead adviser, a consortium consisting of Advent International, FedEx Corporation, A&R Investments and PPF Group on the all-cash EUR 7.8 billion offer for InPost S.A., a leading European e-commerce solutions enabler specialising in out-of-home delivery and automated parcel lockers
  • B&S Group, a consumer goods distribution and services group with a global network, on a recommended public offer by Sarabel, through its affiliate ELFB Investments Netherlands B.V., for all issued and outstanding shares in the capital of B&S valued at approximately EUR 518 million
  • Koninklijke Philips N.V. in the EUR 2.5 billion cornerstone investment by EXOR N.V.
