Best Friends network leads M&A league tables in the first half of 2014
The Best Friends network leads the league tables in the first half of 2014 with the largest number of M&A transactions in Europe. In terms of deal value, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is leading the M&A rankings, according to M&A intelligence and analysis provider Mergermarket.
According to Mergermarket's analysis, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advised 85 deals worth a total of USD 212.85 billion from January to June. The Best Friends network, formed by the six renowned law firms Hengeler Mueller (Germany), BonelliErede (Italy), Bredin Prat (France), De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek (Netherlands), Slaughter and May (UK) and Uría Menendez (Spain and Portugal) follows with a lower deal volume (USD 158.2 billion), but with 107 transactions.
