Rick van 't Hullenaar, Richard van Staden ten Brink, Roan Lamp and Michael Schouten have been named partner at law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. With these four new appointments De Brauw is responding to its clients' needs in both national and international issues.
Rick van 't Hullenaar specialises in compliance and enforcement matters concerning national and international legislation, including financial, trade sanctions and anti-bribery legislation. Richard van Staden ten Brink is also active in this field and specialises in compliance issues regarding data regulation, including privacy legislation and compliance. Roan Lamp has been appointed partner-professor. He focuses particularly on criminal aspects in matters the firm handles, and is also Professor of Financial Criminal Law at the VU University Amsterdam. De Brauw increasingly assists clients in international investigations and enforcement issues, many of which have a strong U.S. focus. De Brauw's practice is increasing sharply in this area.
Michael Schouten has been appointed partner at the heart of De Brauw's Corporate practice. He specialises in corporate governance, domestic and cross-border M&A and public bids. Michael obtained his Ph.D. (cum laude) in corporate law from the University of Amsterdam.
With these four new appointments, De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek now has a total of 65 partners located at its offices in Amsterdam, Beijing, Brussels, London, New York, Singapore and, as of early 2014, Shanghai.
