Lennard is a partner in De Brauw’s Corporate/M&amp;A practice, and head of the private equity practice. He acts for Dutch and international private equity firms on their acquisitions and exit transactions, as well on other matters throughout the investment period. In addition, Lennard regularly acts for founders and family-owned companies who wish to sell their company or to partner with private equity. He is often consulted for his expertise in governance arrangements between shareholders, private equity funds and co-investors, including minority investments by private equity, and in warranty &amp; indemnity insurance and management participation plans.
Lennard is recognised as a leader in his field, as also confirmed by Legal 500 (‘Hall of Fame’ for Private Equity) and Chambers. Lennard was nominated as one of six lawyers for the Dutch Best M&amp;A Lawyer Award many times as from 2020 and won the award in 2021, 2023 and 2025.
Lennard played an important role in establishing De Brauw’s Singapore office.

Sophia specialises in international and Dutch tax law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity as well as tax controversies. She regularly advises public and private businesses on a wide range of tax issues, including strategic and financial acquisitions, divestments and reorganisations. She also assists De Brauw clients on the tax aspects of executive compensation.
Sophia is a member of the Netherlands Bar Association as well as the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers. She is currently seconded to the New York office of Cravath, Swaine &amp; Moore LLP until December 2026.

Rik is a partner in De Brauw's Employment and Employee Benefits practice group. He has been a key member of the firm's employment team since 2015, building a practice across the full spectrum of employment law.
Rik advises and represents clients in individual and collective labour matters, combining strategic advisory work with complex litigation. His practice is characterised by a multi-faceted approach, handling everything from high-stakes collective disputes – including industrial action and strike matters – involving trade unions and works councils to sensitive individual employment cases. He has particular expertise at the intersection of employment and corporate law, regularly advising on co-determination processes, boardroom matters, collective redundancies and workforce reorganisations. Rik also advises extensively on equal pay and pay transparency obligations. 

A significant focus of Rik's work involves the employment law aspects of mergers and acquisitions, where he supports clients in navigating complex cross-border employment issues and large-scale restructurings. He has extensive experience handling international cases, combining technical expertise with a pragmatic, client-oriented approach.
Rik is a productive author, publishing regularly on employment law topics, and is a regular speaker at employment law masterclasses. Bart is a partner in the De Brauw's Competition practice that won the prestigious Global Competition Review's European Law Firm of the Year awards in 2021 and 2022. He divides his time between Amsterdam and Brussels and specialises in EU and international competition law matters. Bart represents companies in a wide range of sectors, including high-tech industries, the financial sector, FMCG, the energy sector and manufacturing. ​
Bart has significant experience in acting as lead counsel in multi-jurisdictional merger filings and he has established working relationships with first tier competition experts in all major jurisdictions. He has successfully litigated in abuse of dominance cases and regularly advises clients on related topics. Jasper is an expert in public law, focusing on complex matters relating to energy, environment and spatial planning. Regulatory issues, especially politically sensitive matters and enforcement disputes, form part of his vast experience, and he has worked for major national and international private companies and vital state-owned entities. 
Jasper handles the litigation side of matters when necessary, and is known for being effective and driven, and never losing sight of client interests. He is also an excellent negotiator and knows how to deal with regulators. Jasper regularly advises clients on compliance matters, including export control and economic sanctions regulations, as well as foreign direct investment control. His expertise is often sought in complex cross-border M&amp;A matters. 
Jasper is the lead lawyer in referrals on public law (including constitutional law) made by the Dutch House of Representatives. As part of this role, he represents the House in court proceedings and provides legal advice to standing committees and the presidium of the House.
