Summary

Gurgen advises on the full breadth of EU competition law, including antitrust, merger control, litigation and state aid matters.

He has been involved in a number of large-scale internal investigations and behavioural matters, also representing clients in competition law related litigation before national courts as well as the European Court of Justice. In addition, Gurgen has broad experience in transactional matters, gaining clearance in complex cases before the European Commission, the ACM and a large number of other competition authorities around the world.

Gurgen was previously seconded to AkzoNobel in 2018, where he held the position of Director Competition Law.

Gurgen was based in De Brauw's Brussels office from 2015 until 2023.
