
Robert is a seasoned litigator specialising in complex, high-stakes and cross-border dispute resolution. He advises clients on contentious matters, focusing on intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and data privacy. Robert's practice includes class actions in multi-billion-euro commercial disputes. He is experienced in proceedings at all levels of the Dutch court system as well as before the European Court of Justice. Robert is also a registered UPC representative.
Robert frequently shares his expertise in lectures at the University of Amsterdam and the Academy for Legal Practice (Academie voor de Rechtspraktijk), an accredited training institute recognised by the Netherlands Bar Association. Robert also regularly speaks as a panellist at industry conferences. He is a member of several associations, including the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), the Association for Advertising Law (VvRr), the International Trademark Association (INTA), MARQUES and the Association for Mass Claims and Collective Actions (VEMCA).
In addition to his commercial practice, Robert has assisted various organisations on a pro bono basis, including the The Invictus Games, FOAM, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Stichting Kinderoncologische Vakantiekampen.
