Summary

Heather is a counsel at De Brauw’s Corporate practice and is based in Amsterdam. She has a broad-based background in M&A law from North American and European perspectives.

Heather has advised on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, divestments, joint venture arrangements, complex carve-out transactions and private equity investments in a broad range of industries. Her clients include domestic and international corporate clients in a variety of industries, and private equity funds.

Heather holds degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of Oxford. She is qualified to practice in New York, and prior to joining De Brauw, she practiced at a major international law firm in New York.

Heather's recent work includes advising:

  • Royal Philips N.V. in the divestment of its Domestic Appliances business

  • HEMA and its shareholders in the sale of HEMA to a consortium led by Parcom Capital and Mississippi Ventures

  • Akzo Nobel N.V. in the separation of its Specialty Chemicals business and the sale of the business to The Carlyle Group.

  • ASML Holding N.V. in its acquisition of the Taiwan listed company Hermes Microvision Inc.

  • Madison Industries in various investments in the Netherlands
